hide and go seek...

We have a new family favorite activity! Every night after dinner, while David washes up the dishes (isn't he the best!), the kids and I play hide and go seek together. And if I forget they are sure to remind me! They just love it!

Auburn Grace is our universal seeker as she loves to "count". Elijah loves to hide and is always sure to tell us where he will choose to hide for that particular round. He gets scared when he has to be the seeker and always sends Auburn Grace in a particular place first to scout it out for him.

What great fun!

 

 

painting date...

Concentrating hard on her work of art.

We had a little painting date yesterday, and the kids just loved it!  I'm sad to say this is actually the first time I have gotten the paint brushes out for AG to use (I honestly just hadn't thought about it).  She has tried finger painting but insisted on having her hands wiped every few seconds which was just annoying.  So we went with brushes this time, and it was a huge hit!

Elijah got in some letter tracing practice along with his painting:-). 

He has just gotten confident in squirting the paint in the pallet all on his own.

So proud of her creation!
