Elijah is 10 Months Old!

I know, I know... It is a few days late, but nevertheless Elijah has reached 10 months! He weighs 22 lbs 8 oz (65th percentile) and is 29.5 inches long (75th percentile)! He is just as precious as ever and getting more and more fun to be around. He loves to play with us, climb on us, wave to us, and snuggle with us. Each day brings something new to laugh at, and even the things that are a little onery, we think they are just so cute. Like the other day when he decided he didn't want to eat any more pears and subsequently threw them all over the wall, cabinets, floor, and chair (not to mention in his hair and face). Then he just looked at us with those big puppy dog eyes, and we just had to laugh. Life is such a joy with him in it, and we are constantly thankful for the blessing he is.

10 Cute Things Elijah is Doing at 10 Months:

1) Pulling up on everything- his crib, the window ledge, pillows, cabinets, bookshelves, and us of course.
2) Saying the cutest little things like baa, daa, mama, bye-bye, ball, and lots of other things that are part of his own little language.

3) Reading- it is so funny. He loves to lay on his back holding a book up over his head and flip through the pages.

4) Touching the touch and feel pages. This is a new thing that he loves. We just ordered him several touch and feel books, and he just loves to feel the different textures on the pages. His favorite ones so far seem to be the frog's rough tongue, the bumpy basket, and the kitty's soft fur.

5) Making all kinds of "dinosaur" noises. We think he has just discovered his voice and is having a hard time regulating it so what comes out sounds like a lot of dinosaur squeals. Makes us laugh!

6) Throwing things all over the place- he throws balls, toys, spoons, cheerios, just about anything you give him. The neat thing though is that he will actually sit and play "throw" with us. He has pretty good aim actually.

7) Kicking the ball. He has a couple of soccer like balls (one is actually more like a basketball) that he loves to walk around the house kicking. He seems to have a natural talent for kicking balls so maybe he will be our little soccer player.

8) Playing with friends. He loves his little friends Roman, Judah, and Caleb. They "talk" to each other, steal toys from each other, and "wrestle" with (basically just fall over on) each other.

9) Smiling at us with 3 new teeth! That's right. Elijah got his first two teeth last Friday night. It was amazing. He went to bed with no teeth and woke up the next morning with his first two teeth! Another one popped through just today so he now has two bottom teeth and one top tooth!

10) Exploring- he likes to open cabinets, crawl through passageways, get under beds, and weave through chairs all in the name of exploration. We are constantly on the move and wondering where he'll end up next.
