A is for Alligator

"The 'A' says 'aaahhh'..." we sang that part of the leapfrog alphabet song all week long, right along with chanting "Big A, little a, what begins with a?... " from Dr. Seuss's alphabet book.

The whole week was full of lots of fun books, crafts, games, learning time, and learning activities.  Some of our favorites were:

"Tracing" the letter "Aa" with playdough

Our alligator paper bag puppet craft

coloring alligators- He still doesn't know all of his colors, and
most things end up being "yellow" whether they really are or
not, but he had a lot of fun anyway!

Using sticky tack to stick shapes on his page- he is actually
very good at this, and knows all of his shapes well!

Alligator "A" craft- this was really cute and fun!

Doing his lacing card- this is probably his least favorite activity
since it takes quite a bit of focus and time.  He usually gets
about half way through before he wants to give up; but of course
I insist that we press on to finish what we've started- an important
life lesson indeed!

difficult for him to do at first, but he has really gotten much
better at it with time.
